<p>How many of us are there on this thread--4? I went to Rice a few weeks ago bc I didn't think I'd get a "callback" if you will... gahh!! On the last trip, our connection flight was rescheduled & we were stuck in Chicago overnight. I love Chicago, but all I packed was my Houston clothes, and it was literally 1 degree in Chicago... </p>

<p>I just realized that when the Rice admissions office called me and left a message about a week ago, the lady said, "...we're here until 5pm, so that means 4pm your time."</p>

Rice is in Texas...central time.</p>

<p>i'm not thinking so... i didnt get any merit-based aid either, so that makes three of us for sure that didnt get any</p>
<p>In our case, Rice is a no-go without some major aid.</p>
<p>I don't think the amount of merit aid awards have any influence on Baylor's decision...everyone invited for an interivew is probably on a level playing field.</p>

<p>How is it possible to qualify for a Rice/Baylor interview yet not qualify for merit aid? It boggles my mind.</p>
