I'm a freshman in high school and want to go to CALS (Animal Science major) for undergrad. I'm female, half Asian and half Caucasian, and live in Massachusetts.

Some BG info:

I've always wanted to be a vet, mainly because I love animals, science is my favorite subject and I want to work with and educate other "animal people". I want to go to Cornell's vet school after CALS. Although I'm half Asian, I don't stress too much about grades (they are important to me, however!) and a lot of people would describe me as a funny, creative and passionate individual. I feel like I stand out; I'm a unique kid to say the least LOL. ;D

Weighted GPA: 3.94
UW GPA: 3.74

I'm in honors Algebra 2 and honors English. I take German and honors/advanced classes aren't offered for foreign language until either sophomore or junior year here. I'm in CP Biology but will be moved up to honors next trimester. Freshmen don't have a lot of freedom when it comes to electives at my school, so this trimester I'm in gym and during third trimester I will be in CP art foundations and a health class. I /might/ be in AP Studio Art next year, though!

I haven't taken the PSAT/SAT or ACT yet because I'm a freshman, and I don't know my class rank for the same reason.

ECs:

Art (digital/oils/acrylics/sculpting. I've been seriously drawing for 3 years.)
Horseback riding (English, 11+ years)
Vet shadowing (~15 hours, I'm looking for a semi-permanent place to volunteer/work at)
"Kennel hand" at a pet shop in Japan (1-2 times a week over the summer)
Karate (white belt, I just started a month ago)

So uhm, opinions?
