On Rolling Admissions...

Hi! I just found out that CALS admissions are done by major... A committee reads all the applicants for a specific major before moving on to the next major. Also, there will be a wave of results mailed out on february 15th, so you might get a reply a few days after that!

do they wait for the midyear reports before making a decision???

Good question, wish I had an answer. Mine won't go out until this Monday. Ugh.

are the majors reviewed alphabetically?

Thanks for the info about feb 15th! Ive been obcessively wondering about what day they are finally gonna send out the first round

huh? aren't applications do in march? im so confused.

Ah......! Hope they do biology first!

Is this just CALS, or do other schools such as CAS conduct admissions in this manner as well ?

Biggy they are refering to RD Frosh apps.

Umm... i know a few other schools (but not CAS) do rolling admissions, but i can't confirm that they're done by major or if they're sending out decisions on the 15th. And i don't think they would wait for mid year reports bc not every school can send a mid year report in before then, but i suppose they'd consider it if you have sent it in (again, i can't confirm that).

will these results be available online on the 15th?

Probably not. Decisions come out (for rolling schools) betwen mid Feb and march.

As for rolling school decisions..most people don't find out until the common reply date.

Hey it's feb 15. We will get our decisions anyday now. I know I'm gonna check my status everyday, haha.

Can any aceptees tell us what the status page says if you get rejected/accepted/wastlisted? Thanks!

haha xman im with you on that-- a few days ago i started checking everyday...hopefully at least some one on CC will find out soon so that we can know which majors have some results and what the status page will look like

when are you guys going to send in your mid year? I'm not sure if mine will be available until close the deadline.

I'm really confused...I thought that the Ivy League had an agreed upon date when they release regular decisions?

we're talking about fall transfer...

Uh... no we're not! CALS and i think the other contract colleges have rolling admissions for freshman applicants. But that is weird, i did think that the ivy league had a common reply date. Apparently Cornell gets around it somehow.

will the contract colleges post their info online for rollin admissions, or will we have to wait for letters from them
