Officially registered. So the CARS thing means we don’t have to pay until we start our Fall semester?

santacruz - i purposely tried to pick courses that were only like 50%-75% full so i would have a better chance of getting them. i made a pretty decent schedule actually…managed to score no classes on frifri!

and datransfer, it was actually never even on mychecklist thing. but now that i finished it, its with the “completed” items

my SLR is still at the top of my to do list though…even though i did it the night I got accepted… -___________-

Wierd… At least I can still update my course choices!

yeppp me dos! have you done housing yet datransfer? if so, what are your preferences?

edit: and does anybody else find the fact that we have to do a violence prevention wkshop sketchy…?

also, do we get to make our Cal 1 card at orientation??

I’m still unsure of what to choose for housing…

Where is this housing form you guys speak of?? Or are you guys just making a list of preferences??

It should appear on your checklist in your myBerkeleyApplication. Have you SIRed yet? If not, you won’t be able to apply for housing.

Yeah I SIR’d and made my CalMail address. I clicked myChecklist but I don’t see anything in regards to housing.

Is that the same thing??

For future students who might read this and find this information useful… I just registered for the 6/9 (first) CalSO date and it was still available. Therefore I’m assuming they don’t fill up TOO fast so don’t stress.

Are we all going to try to meet up at CalSO? I really want to get to know everyone!

we should get some drinks during orientation too

That’s what I’m saying nero!

Lol the CalSO info says specifically not to have alc/drugs during orientation. I wonder if it’s been a problem in the past…

aw I’m going on the 15th cause I thought I’d need a little time to get settled into the city and find a job first. And I am of age… :)

I’m just saying the night before I am going to go out for dinner and drinks before I sleep in some dorm room. We should have a meet up of people going the night before.

heyy, I’m headin up to Calso on 6/9 too from Socal, would anyone be interested in flying up there together from Long Beach Airport on the 8th? I figure it’d be cool if we were going up with a fellow CCer :)

Brian

My friend and I are also most likely flying up but we haven’t really looked into particular flights yet but I think we wanted to leave in the morning on the 8th so we can look at some off-campus places to live. What flight are you taking? And LB flies direct right? I noticed John Wayne only has connecting flights…

Ya, via JetBlue there are non stop round trip flights for about $138 it seems. From LAX to San Fran its about $120 so I’m figuring that its worth the $20 to avoid that nightmare of an airport haha. I’m thinking about taking the 5pm flight.
6/9 filled up last sunday. I remember looking in the morning and it was still open and then trying to register in the afternoon and it was closed.

I contacted the CalSO rep and asked if I could be moved to the 9th because my coworker and I were both admitted to the same department (Rhetoric) and had asked for/received that day off.

See you all on the 9th! Bright and early, I’ll be getting up at 5ish.

yay I’m glad it filled up…the more the merrier!

i wish i knew where i was living before orientation though…or actually, i wish the housing app would close after orientations were over, so i could be 1001% sure of my housing prefs.
