campus cops/security

OK wow. I actually got a ticket today for not wearing my seat belt on campus today when i was going like 15 mph. I know i should be wearing my seat belt and I generally always do but i took it off when i was going to park in front of my dorm to get to my room quick bc i had class soon and noticed the front parking lot was full. Ok so now i go to the side parking lot like 15 seconds away and a cop sees me and gives me a ticket after I tell him how I got a ticket last week for speeding (my fault and no real anger toward cops for this) and how my parents already hate me as it is but obviously he writes me a ticket. gotta love campus security/cops!!! Anyone else have stories like this? Too bad they didn't focus more on people the drink and drive and smoke weed.

IDK I wear my seat belt 99% of the time.

They tried to get me for indecent exposure but I got away, wasn’t on my campus.

No stories like that but I used to work for the campus police department. I worked for the Student Security Service aka “Escort Service.” I did that for two or three semesters. Only did two night escorts for a girl that wanted company while walking to her dorm, and it was the same girl both times. Besides that my time was spent pushing handicap and injured students and professors around in wheelchairs and locking the campus up at night. Not fun locking up an entire campus at 11pm by yourself.

The cops were in need of action. Not much action on a small college campus, so whenever there was any kind of minor incident they would show up quick and in force. One evening in the student center a student employee at the Arby’s in the building was giving an officer a theft report because his backpack got stolen. At the same time two other students walked into my office saying they had just got into a fight and wanted to press charges against each other. These guys were friends. The dispatcher was confused as to why they wanted to press charges when neither of them was upset about the incident. Eventually at least 5 or 6 cops showed up. Now all of the cops, the two fight suspects, and the Arby’s worker are in the lounge area. The Arby’s work recognizes that the bag that one of the fight suspects has belongs to him. The cops got all excited over that little bit of action.
