Who loves the local cops?

Our small school (no more than 1000 students total) has 2 cops that are at the school full time....actual township cops...it is such a friggin joke...one cop inspects senior cars once a week as the enter the parking lot...he stands there, makes you stop, and checks for seatbelt, number of kids in the car, view obstructions, parking permits, proper id, and anything else he can get you for...it causes quite the back-up......and he's an idiot too.

I pull in, he stops me, "Son, why the hell isn't your seatbelt on?"
"Ummm, it is on." (Show him the seatbelt that is on)
"Oh, okay. Where's your permit?" I point to it hanging up.
He rips it down and says, that's an obstruction, go park, put it up and then put it down when you leave.....he writes down kid's licenses plates for not using a blinker when there is only one way to turn (no straight, just you have to turn) and he threatens to tow people for parking a little over the line when the parking lot is covered with snow to begin with and you can't see the spots because the school doesn't even plow the lots....

And he has partners to help him too.....instead of protecting our town, this guy patrols a parking lot at a small high school...that's all he does....any other schools have this kind of waste?

Haha, we have a few cops...big school though, nearly 3,000 kids. One of them is young and hot and spends his entire day flirting with the senior girls...the other one sleeps, but he broke up a fight the other day. Also, some kid hit me and then drove off in the parking lot the other day, and he helped with that, so he's not completely useless.

One of our security guards rides a BICYCLE.

So if there's a disturbance, he can PEDAL OVER as fast as he can..

ridiculous.

Lol, logisticslord, your school cops sound exactly like the ones at my school... oh the joys of living in a small town, where the cops have nothing better to do.

Two cops and about 8 security guards. They just walk around the halls, I've never seen them do anything besides talk but I go to a large school so I guess it is necessary to have police presence. They are able to search kids and make arrests right away(which happens more than you would think).

I go to an overcrowded school of about 1600 students, and we have 1 police officer. And I go to a school where there are a bunch of gang fights. Yaaay.

there are no security/police in the school. our school is a jr./sr. high school with 800 kids. i have no problems with the police so im chill.. we are btw all koreans and jews in this town so we dont have that many gang fights or w/e. except for parties and weed.

I go to a small school (about 800 total) and we always have a police officer around. They rotate every two months or so. I've never heard of them being stupid or anything.... but they don't do anything since nothing ever happens at my high school. There's also always a cop car sitting in our parking lot before and after school, but doesn't do anything since nothing happens.

We have a whole S.W.A.T. team at my school. :)

One sheriff. Works with several narks. I wonder if the Beretta on his holster is loaded...?

^Narcs. {I'm just sayin...}

We have like 3 full-time city cops at our schools, but the vice-principals are the ones who break up the fights. All the cops do is SADD crap and prom accident prevention.

oh my god i hate parking lot security people.

our school has 2400 kids or so. about 300 kids drive to school daily. we have a guy who gets paid to sit in his truck ALL DAY. and "monitor" the parking lot to make sure nobody is leaving. like, he won't let you go to your car for ANY REASON. yesterday because of michigan merit exam testing, we had over an hour for lunch, and so i wanted to go to my car to get some money so i could walk across the street to subway. but no. mr. parking lot man was a jerk and wouldn't let me even do that. argh argh argh.

our school police is really short but shes crazy

We have a wannabe cop like person who rides a bike....it's pretty pathetic.

Our school cops ride on those little bicycles too. Kinda sad when you think about it. student gets in fight SCHOOL COPS TO THE RESCUE! jump on their bikes and pedal to the scene of the crime LOL!

We have a couple security guards, but they're a joke. It's supposed to be seniors only off-campus at lunch, but they let everyone go. However, they can be a pain about parking. Our parking sucks and I'm always running late so I create spots in the parking lot and I always get a "school ticket" left on my car for blocking something or parking illegally. The security guards just put it on my car and it says we've recorded your license plate number and then it says this is not a real ticket!

Like that's gonna get me to stop parking there.

We have just one cop but a bunch of assistants or other random people that just sit at the entrance to the parking lot in golf carts and don't let you go to your car during the day

Um I go to a private school...we have rentacops. They're mainly there to open the doors when we lock our stuff in the library by accident or something. But they're pretty cool about parking...

This thread entertains me because I go to a public school with about 3,000 kids and we don't have ANY. Or if we do, I've never seen them. I think we have a "security officer," but he only keeps track of lost articles and stuff. If we have fights (and we used to have lots, not so much recently though), the teachers break them up. Which I think is kind of unfair on them, it's not exactly in the job description.
