TAMU has always been my dream school, but I am afraid that it will be too big. I come from Rhode Island, and its not possible for me to bring a car with me. Is the campus hard to get around? Do you get lost easy? What are other forms of transportation? etc… Thank you!
You don’t need any transportation for campus. Easy to walk to classes, food and libraries. The busses are amazing and can get you to most off campus housing. We have Uber and Lyft (assuming they’re still here after Covid). There’s also off campus eating like favor, door dash and Uber eats. The rec for working out and just playing plus all of the sporting events and intramural are all walking distance or can jump on bus or even a bike.
Don’t let the campus size scare you. And if you’re open to joining groups/clubs then you will find your people. First semester can be rough. But that’s how it is at any college. Just jump in with both feet. Work hard and play hard. It will be great!
