Hi. My son got accepted to OSU Honors program in engineering. We are planning to go to the April 5th honors admittance day. This will be our first time visiting OSU…Will they include a tour and info session also, or do we have to reserve that separately? There is a campus tour on the 4th (Thurs), honors day is on the 5th (Fri), and we saw that the school of engineering has an info session on the 8th (Mon)…should we plan on doing all 3 sessions, or can we basically get most of the information in one afternoon?? We are from Boston, it’s about a 12hr drive, so we would like to see it all in one trip. Thanks so much for any info…Go Buckeyes!!!

Don’t know, but if your son likes physics, on April 4th the most recent Nobel winner (Wineland I think) will be giving the a big free lecture so you may want to come a day early. It’s an annual event.

Physics.ohio-state.edu has more info.

I was admitted to engineering & honors also. The only date on the school tour calendar that has a tour of the campus and of biomedical engineering is on April 22 so that is the date we registered for a visit. I wish honors days could be on that date. We are OOS and needed to pick one date. I do not have an opinion which event is better to attend since we have not visited the school yet either.

We originally reserved the April 22nd date, too, but then received the honors invite for April 5th…we would love to go to both, but too far to travel there twice. We pretty much decided on April 5th because I think we’re anxious to check everything out soon :)

Can someone tell me what happens on Honors Day? Thanks
