Can an admission decision be revoke if TAG requirements are not met?

<p>I applied to UCSD with TAG. I am aware that I have to complete IGCT and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher by fall. However, what would happen if I am able to maintain a 3.5 GPA by the fall semester, but not the Spring semester. That would violate the TAG requirements since a 3.5 GPA is also required by the end of spring semester. My application couldn't be consider as a regular admit because the review preview would be over. I have really tough classes next semester that I need for my major.</p>

<p>They will probably send an “updated” GPA when you get your admission, which will be a bit lower. At least that’s how UCI does it. Theirs is 3.0.</p>

<p>Yes, I know! I think you should have read my post more carefully. UCSD REQUIRES a 3.5 GPA through spring, and nothing less.</p>

<p>Are you basing the GPA requirement from the TAG requirement list or is this from a UCSD representative that explicitly said that you MUST maintain your 3.5 GPA until the very end as a TAG admit? Because AFAIK, most of the TAGs have a similar requirement that you have to maintain the minimum GPA until the end of spring 2014 but usually this is amended to a lower one when you get your actual admission. </p>

<p>UCI’s TAG also states that you have to maintain the 3.4 GPA until the end of spring 2014. I’m basing my info on what a UCI rep told me, where you get a new, “updated” GPA of 3.0 to maintain once you get your admission, even if you got in through TAG, and I’m running under the assumption that UCSD also follows this method because it doesn’t really make a whole lot of sense if they don’t but maybe I am wrong.</p>

<p>You can contact UCSD admissions about it or search through the previous UCSD acceptance threads and see if anyone who got in through TAG posted the requirements needed to keep their admission</p>

<p>simply for UCSD you are out from TAG. They will still consider you as a normal applicant and will go through your application. good luck!!</p>
