Can AP Seminar teacher write the humanities recommendation?

For the HASS recommendation required for MIT, would an AP Seminar teacher be appropriate? Since AP Capstone is fairly new, I’m not sure if Seminar counts as a humanities class. It is very similar to an English class while taking a more interdisciplinary approach. Can my AP Seminar teacher write the humanities recommendation?
