Can I appeal for a higher scholarship?

Can I appeal for a higher level of AES if I was awarded the achievement level. There was very little window to retake SAT. However I’ve sent in predicted grades and an updated transcript which has pumped up my rank to top 4 percent from top 9 percent. My SAT composite still remains 1370 780 maths… also 780 physics 760 maths 2. Amazing resume though. Good essays sent.

Is ther nay chance of any past instance where a scholarship level wa increased?

Someone please reply to this! I’m in desperate need.

What does the college say about the aid it offers to internationals? Did you qualify for a guaranteed merit award? If so, the college won’t bump you to the next level if you don’t have the stats for it.

@austinmshauri Except New SAT scores, i’ve got the other stats in place. Possibly showing some interest Could help me?

Btw I got the academic excellence achievement level scholarship. Gue that’s merit aid

According to their website, UT Dallas only offers a “few hundred” scholarships, so they’re not guaranteed. And they consider a variety of factors (test scores, ECs, etc.) when awarding them, so I don’t know what you could base an appeal on. The COA is ~$42k. How much do you need to be able to afford this college? A $5k difference may be considered, but a $20k gap won’t.

Did you get accepted to any affordable schools?

I have a scholarship already which ha brought down the COA to 16k already. I’ve appealed for a higher level to bring it further down to 11k$

We’re US citizens, so this might not apply, but my son appealed last year, and was awarded a higher scholarship in April (full tuition).

Considering that you’re about 75 points below the average for distinction level, I’d say your chance of getting a higher aes level is almost zero. It comes down to GPA and SAT/ACT, with SAT/ACTD being the more important factor. They don’t care about your extra curricular, SAT physics or whatever else. None of that enables UTD to brag, whereas a higher SAT score will help UTD brag.
