Can I get all of my 60 transferable credits in only a full calender year? I graduate this friday and i want to know if I could try and do summer courses a full two semester courseload and another summer if i could transfer as a spring admit to a UC?

Taking 15 units during summer can be tough. I personally wouldn’t advise it. To see if it would even be possible for you, you need to look at your Community College class schedule for summer. The logistics of taking 15 units just might not be possible.

My daughter is taking two classes this summer. She will be in class Tuesdays & Thursday’s from 9 AM -2:30 PM (for class #1) and from 6 PM – 10 PM (for class #2), both on the same days.

Here’s a link to someone who wanted to take 3 community college classes during the summer (and the schedule he would have to have) - <a href=“Is taking 3 college classes (10 credits) during summer too much to handle - #2 by MLM - State Forums - College Confidential Forums”>Is taking 3 college classes (10 credits) during summer too much to handle - #2 by MLM - State Forums - College Confidential Forums;

Now, if you wanted to graduate in 1.5 years, that would be a possible goal to reach for (while still maintaining your best grades). But trying to do it all in 1 year, imo it would be hard. Not impossible, but very very difficult.

Oh okay, what does she plan on doing after this summer though?

^Complete her final year at CC.

I’m about 99% sure that 60 units cannot be done. If you’re on the semester system, that would mean 20 units over summer (which would be the equivilent of 40 during fall/spring) then another 20 each in fall and another 20 in spring. If you take to many you might get overwhelmed and grades will start to slip. I just wouldn’t recommend trying it.
