Can I get a 2300?

Just got back my PSAT score and I got a 162. This score is without practice and I just want to know if its possible for me to get a 700 point increase by the time I take the SAT. I'm currently a sophomore.
48 CR
58 Math
56 Writing

EDIT: I'll have atleast 14 months for studying.

Well i took the psat and i got a 1600 exactly i got a 700 on math and a 500 on CR and a 400 on writing. That was without studying but i believe if i study my score could have gone up. But yeah its possible just do a lot of practice and even if need be get a tutor they will be happy to help you. Also you should consider the act as well some students find the act easier than the sat.

14 months of prep is definitely enough to get any score you want

I got a 173 on my PSAT. Now I’m scoring 205s. So yea

I got 190 something my sophomore year and now get 2300+ on practice tests, but you have a much lower score than I do…but you may have a lot more time so it is definitely possible!

B u m p .

I didn’t get a 2300, but I’m sure with preparation (even just 1-2 months) it’s definitely doable.

But to answer your question: Yes, you can get a 2300+. :)

I got a lower PSAT than you when I was a sophmore and I’m borderline 2200, but I didn’t start practicing until a couple of months ago, so yes, it’s possible.

^May everyone report this guy pls? He trolls pretty much every chance thread and I called him out on it and he seems very angry. He blames URM’s for taking spots in colleges that HE “deserves” even though they have better stats. Lol.

It’s completely possible. I got a 198 on my PSAT, and two months later, I got a 2230 on my SAT, so in proportion to your 14 months, you have plenty of time, as long as you use it wisely.

No, it’s not possible, you can’t get 2300 from where you are now. Your score is too low for such an improvement. I’m sorry, but you had to hear the truth some time.

The upper comment is utter fallacy.
I’m not even an US student and I got a 300 overall score boost in ~2 months of rigorous excercise.

If I had 14 months , I’d be acing the SAT already.

My advice is to get as many as prep books as you can and go through ALL of them (you’ve got plenty of time). When you think you’ve reached the zenith of your skills, do all the Blue Book practice tests.
