Can I get in a CalState?

I am applying for Spring 2019 with a 2.6 gpa with a AA in business ADT Degree from Orange Coast College. I am looking for a CSU that I might be able to be accepted. Any thoughts about CalState Fullerton or any othe CSU options?

I’d go in and see a transfer advisor at OCC as soon as possible. Fullerton on LB may be tough, but I would guess the LA or Dominguez Hills might be more likely(?). Don’t just go with the flow and hope you get in somewhere, you really want to get out in front of it.

Good luck!

i agree - better to get ahead of it. Fullerton looks to be your local CSU so, a 2.6 and AAT may get you in there - but, probably not. An advisor at your school should be able to clarify that for you.

This is tough news to hear but, a 2.6 won’t make you competitive at any of the competitive schools.

I would encourage you to apply to Fullerton but, also pick a couple of non-impacted campuses AND where Biz isn’t impacted. There are several attractive schools - SF and East Bay for example.

Good luck

CSUB, CSUCI, CSUDH, HSU, CMA, SFSU, and CSUStan are not impacted at the campus level, and business is not impacted at these campuses (except for accounting at SFSU which is impacted).

This link is for 2017, but it will give you an idea of your chances by campus. For CSU Fullerton, local applicants need a 2.75+ for an acceptance.
