Just got my SAT Results today, and I did better than the November testing date. Today I found out that I got a 1710 Score, but when I superscore both testing dates (Nov., Dec.), My score is 1730. Highest Scores: CR-550, M-580, W-600.

My November score was a 1610.

Can I get into the University of Miami, or a similar top college with this score? Should I take the SAT again in January 25th, again, after already taking it for two consecutive months?

Test Scores – 25th / 75th Percentile
SAT Critical Reading: 600 / 700
SAT Math: 630 / 720
SAT Writing: 590 / 690

Your Reading and Math scores are both 50 under the 25th percentile score, and your writing is just above the 25th percentile score. You don’t want to be placed among the bottom 25% of admitted students, though.

You can still definitely get into the University of Miami - it really depends on your other stats (GPA, EC’s, etc). However, retaking the SAT and scoring higher would definitely strengthen your application, so I do recommend it.

Take lots of practice tests. Practice makes perfect!
