Retake Act

I only have one more chance to take it in October and I am studying hard but if my score doesn’t move do you think i could still get in?

I highly doubt, sorry :-(

What do you think I would need to get it to to have a good shot?

Is that GPA unweighted btw?

That ACT will be a big drawback. Also did you take any APs?

-6 AP’s
-Un-Weighted GPA
-Applying early admission.
-I did all of the optional items short answer, recommendations, and resume
-Top 15% of my class at a competitive high school
-Lived overseas for 5 years in local Dutch schooling (that’s why the low ACT I missed a lot of basics)

Is there anything else I can do to improve my chances?
Thanks for the help. I am confident I can raise my ACT at least two points I just don’t want to rely on that.

Don’t you have unweighted GPA?
Your single score ACT is in 1st quartile, which is even lower than middle 50% range…i mean you need to get at last 28 or something…
ECs are fine. Any Ap scores?

My un-weighted 3.7
Weighted 3.8
and really because on their website it says their middle 50% have a 24-29 and Baylor superscores they don’t look at your composite is what my admissions counselor told me… I might be wrong but I just don’t think its realistic to get it up 4 points in one month.

Seriously Paul what are you doing on these chance boards giving advice? Do you know anything about Baylor and
all these other schools you are commenting on???

Have you tried SAT?
Even if you are in that range it’s better to be in higher region of the middle range.

Yes I agree. Thanks for the advice. I’ll work on my scores.

Dance96 you might want to ask some questions on the Baylor forum. Paul chances anyone and everyone and he is probably an 18 year old (would be a freshman so I’m assuming I’m close on his age) so take his knowledge with a grain of salt.

I got in!!! thanks for all of the advice though

Congrats!

congrats!
