<p>So I'm a Junior turning into a Senior. I am very stressed about getting into college and whether or not i would be qualified and have a chance of getting into a decent school. I am open to going to colleges in my home state (California) as well as other colleges that are out of state. Some colleges I would like to go to in California are UCR and/or UCM. As for the out of state colleges, I have no clue but am open to suggestions.</p>
<p>GPA: 3.2 weighted, 2.8 unweighted (will probably increase after 2nd semester of Junior year is included, which will probably be a 3.6)
SAT: 1730 (retaking it)
Community Service: freshman year-200, sophomore year- 200, junior- 350
Extra curricular: Robotics, few club positions, taking community college classes (currently 2), making an art portfolio</p>

<p>If you can maintain that 3.6 (weighted?) and try for an SAT of 1800 you should have a good chance at UCM or UCR. Admissions this year have been very competitive for all the UC’s so keep up the good work. Make sure you have a good mix of Match/Safety and Reach schools when you apply. Add a few Cal states in the mix for your safeties especially your in-service Cal State</p>
<p>If you can raise your 2nd semester Junior year GPA to finish at a 3.8+ it’ll help more (obviously) , and a 1900+ on the SAT, you have a pretty decent/good chance for UCR and UCM. As Gumbymom pointed out, the UC’s have been getting more competitive so if your overall (or just Sophomore/Junior) highschool schedule was rigorous it would look good as well, and high scores on your AP tests. If you’re able to get some more EC’s over summer that would also help alot. But like @Gumbymom said, you should put in some CalStates and safety schools, but you do have a fair chance at UCR/UCM.</p>
