Hey guys
I am an international student. I am applying to college of arts and sciences. I have some pretty concrete and impressive ec. I have high grades and have also written good essays. My ec exhibit leadership, initiative, community service, commitment and passion towards my intended major. I am really worried about my sat score. I have a 1940 on the sat and have scored 790,740 and 700 on math level 2, chem and phy resp.
Please help me and suggest whether I have any chance of getting in. Any help from cornellians will be appreciated. Thanks
What is your Math & Critical Reading scores on the SAT I ?
760 math and 530 cr
If the ACT is available to you I would suggest you take it. Your 530 CR score is going to make admission very difficult.
@csdad. Actually I am reappearing for the SAT in October. So if I increase my score to 650 or maybe near 700 , then will I be having any chance? Thanks

650 is only the 25th percentile, aka the reachiest of reaches.
I always advise students who have such a discrepancy in their CR / M to take the ACT. Colleges are only required to report the Composite ACT score (on Common Data Set), not the subject breakdown. Thus, if you can “balance out” your relatively weaker reading score with higher math / science scores you may come out a little better. However, even with that you are going to be a “long shot” for admit at CAS, it is one of the toughest admits of Cornell’s 7 colleges.
