Can I get into RPI for engineering?

I will be entering 11th grade this september.
Weighted GPA: 4.25
Unweighted GPA: 3.83

AP tests:
Chemistry: 5
Physics B: 5

SAT II's:
Chemistry: 780

SAT I:
No idea..I havent taken it yet..probably in the range of 2000-2100

I am volunteering at my hospital and will have about 200+ hours by the time I apply. I am also reading for the dyslexic and blind. (about 100 hours)

I will have 4 years of cross country, 4 years of winter track, and 4 years of volleyball... I am also in the most competitive orchestra in my school playing the violin.

I represented my school and competed in this science competition called "New Jersey Science League". Might do it again in the future.

Future AP's:
AP Calc BC, AP Physics C, AP biology, AP Gov and Pol, and MCLA, (Multi-variable calculus & linear algebra)

I plan on getting 5's on all of those AP tests (excluding MCLA cuz hteres no AP test for it and also Gov and Pol)

I will also take the Math II and Physics SAT subject tests and at least 760+ but I will be aiming for 780+ on those tests.

Honors Societies:
Math, Social Studies, Music, Science, Spanish

Any ideas on how to improve my resume?

P.S. I will probably apply early decision to this school...would this be a good idea or not?

As long as your math SAT is solid and you keep your grades up, I don’t see why you wouldn’t be accepted.

It’s kind of strange that you’re taking both Physics B and Physics C unless you’re only doing E&M for C. If you aren’t going to be a physics major, I don’t think it’s necessary to have a double background in a giant chunk of the physics 1 material. If you will be one, it might be worth it to go back and retake the honors physics classes anyway.

Ya im doing Physics C for the E&M tests…and the only major science courses my school offers are Physics B and C, Chemistry, and Biology…so i thought might as well take physics C to amp up the rigor of my classes…and im planning on taking physics subject tests and forgot a lot abuot the topicc…and im doing biomedical engineering so i might try to get into medical school after i graduate…so might as well know everyhthing in physics 1 during my underggrade and just boost up my GPA with an easy class.

and what would u say is a solid SAT math score? 720+?

720 is a solid score (the middle 50% of the class is something like 670-750 iirc), but if you’re taking BC Calc during your junior year, you should most definitely be able to score in the high 700s (or 800). The questions are much easier than what you’ll see on your AP test, and there isn’t much of a reason for getting many of them wrong. Recall that higher score => possibly higher merit scholarship, so it never hurts to do your best, even when you’re almost certain you’ll be getting in =).
