UF GPA: about a 4.2 i think

SAT: 2020 but I'm taking it in October and am studying this time. Trying for like a 2200. I heard that UF really cares about SAT, even more than GPA. Does anyone know if this is true?

So do you think I can get in? I know my GPA isn't as high as a lot of peoples'.. I got a lot of Bs freshman year. I have straight As junior year if that makes a difference. Also for anyone that goes to UF, do you recommend it?

Hello~ To start, just by looking at your stats, I think you have a good chance at the University of Florida.

University of Florida isn’t easy to get into. University of Florida doesn’t just look at your academics and call it a day, they look at EVERYTHING, such as awards, background, family, home community, non-academic actions and all that good stuff. On the website they give you really good graphs on the percentages of the students admitted and applicants for this school. Judging on that, you look really good. You really seem on top of things. Your GPA is really good because on the graphs, 82% of the students who were accepted had a 4.0 GPA, and you exceeded that. Also your SAT score is in the range of the many students who’ve been accepted, so good job.

Here’s the page for the graphs: [University of Florida - Admissions](Freshman - How To Apply - University of Florida)

Your AP scores are really good, congrats on your 5’s. It would’ve been really good to see AP Chemistry, but you’re fine. I’m guessing you want to go to Medical School. It’s good to knock off some of those prerequisites. The EC’s you’ve listed are really good, especially volunteering at a hospital and that you’re joining the pre-med club. This really shows interests and can make your application stronger and competitive.

I’m sure you are aware of the General Requirements for UF and their policies. If you’re not, here it is: [University of Florida - Admissions](Freshman - How To Apply - University of Florida)

Overall, I think you are a really good candidate for this school. Just remember to not slack off senior year, and work really hard. Good Luck~

Thanks for taking the time to reply. This makes me feel a little better. I know that my stats are in the range on their website, but I know some people with high stats that didn’t get in. It would really help if someone who personally got in or got rejected could post their stats pretty please.
