I am a junior in high school, I am taking 3 AP courses this year, which had ruined my GPA for the first semester.
I get 3.83 in my sophomore year and 3.57(weighted) in my first semester of junior year. Next year I am going to be a senior, I still want to take some APs(1 or 2, not 3) to keep challenging.

I have done volunteer and the vice president of a club and treasure of a team, I joined girls drill team for a year
My first SAT is 1490, but I am going to retake it.

I love biology and nature, I want to get into UC davis so badly because it has good major in biology and science. I know UCD is getting harder to get in through out the pass few years. But do I still have a chance to get in??

No. 1490 is atrocious in every single UC’s standards. 3 AP’s isn’t even that rigorous, and doing badly in those classes shows that you’re not ready for college.

If I boost up my SAT to around 1800-2000, would that be a higher chance?

Probably not Davis, even then. You’d still have below average stats for the school.

I think that UCSC, UCR, and UCM are the most realistic UCs for you to look at.

Preliminary STATS for this years in-coming Freshman
Average GPA 4.07
Average SAT 1950
I agree with CultClassic, UCR,UCSC and UCM are more realistic. I would apply to UCD anyways as a reach.
Make sure you have some safety schools also lined up. Good Luck and do well on your SAT.

Work all summer on your SAT. I kid you not. You have a chance if you do considerably better in your SAT score. Do well in first semester of senior year as well, don’t slack off. One of my kids got in after getting a supplemental information request from Davis, and he was able to say that he had gotten straight As his first semester, and had continued unabated in his extra curricular activities (which he loves, they weren’t for show.) However, I agree you should also apply other places. Santa Cruz is beautiful, by the way.
