Im impressed with your ECS and your essay sounds like it will be amazing. Your grades are good(not off the wall oustanding, but still good) your test scores are good. I dont see any problems for you!

Thanks for the post! I appreciate your opinion! I’ll chance back if you have a thread! Any other opinions? :)

No problem. I lived in CT for ten years. go connecticutians? lol

Haha…thank you! A little update…

AP SCORES:
Chemistry: 5
Statistics: 4

I doubt it changes anything drastically, but what do people really think about the schools I listed and my chances?
Please and thank you very much!
-INN

Great ECs and stats. Impressive scores and an interesting essay. I’d say you have a solid chance at all your listed, Hopkins being a reach. Congrats on the 5 and 4 on your APs! That can do wonders to your chances.
Chance me back?? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1178534-help-chance-me-columbia-princeton-nyu-s.html</a></p>

Try to improve your CR score to a 700+ and apply ED to your top choice. Add a few Ivies to your list.

Thanks to both replies
I’m taking the SAT I in October with hopes to increase that CR score and have a 2200+ superscore. Also, this is my non-ivy match/safety ish list that I need to trim down a bit, just seeing how I stand for them.
I have UPenn as my #1, and I am applying ED to CAS there. (Which I think you saw on one of my other threads?)

Your grades are good, and SAT too, but I would plan to get 2200 or above, as you mentioned. I think you can get in UPenn w/ ED and a great essay, but the topic is outstanding. I don’t know a lot of the colleges you mentioned, but you can probably get in JHU and definitely Stony Brook, that’s certain! Btw, do you recommend any books for the ACT or SAT? Did you use any that you wouldn’t mind telling me about?

Bring that SAT score to a 2250+ and you will have a better chance at those schools. Or bring your ACT up to a 34.

-Johns Hopkins - reach/match, i’m not too familiar, but your stats falls right in the middle so write a good essay and go for it!

-University of VA - I heard this school is hard for out of state students, but if you got the scores and the grades, go for it! I’d say it’s a match for you.

-Haverford - not familiar with their admissions.

-Tufts - The second valedictorian got into this school. She obviously had a 4.0 gpa, 2240 SAT score and a 34 ACT. Write a good essay and I think you will get in here.

-Swarthmore - Don’t know.

-Vassar - A kid at my school is going here ED. He had a 3.8ish gpa, 2100 SAT score. I think he applied ED, though.

-University of CT - IN.

-Brandeis - Match

-University of Rochester - Another kid is going here. He had a 3.8-3.9 ish gpa, 2100 ish SAT score. He applied ED.

-StonyBrook University - Don’t know.

If you manage to pull your scores up, go for some ivies!

only problems you would have getting into are JHU and Tufts. You should be able to get into UVA and probably JHU if you did early decision. All the others you pretty much have a great shot.
Chance me, http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1178445-ill-chance-back.html</a></p>

Thanks for all opinions. I’m hoping with circa a 700 CR (superscored with the 780 Math and 780 Writing) I can get a total of around 2260. That would be very fortunate- though I hope I stand a chance as it is. I’m probably going to keep my ACT score just as the 31 as it lands in my #1 50% range - UPenn. The SAT I’d really like to improve (though I am aware it is a very competitive score). And again, this isn’t my college list - Its just a list of middle-range competitive schools that I would consider applying to - I have UPenn ED as my first choice, as well as Cornell, Princeton, and Yale as RD just for kicks!

Bump  Anymore opinions? Thanks so much!
