Passion... will most likely write my essay about how the experience in hospitals, diagnosing, and tests has changed my view on life and what I want to do with my life

Let me know if you need more information, thanks guys.. I appreciate your opinions :)

Crap, i forgot to mention. I am applying ED to Univ of Pennsylvania, most likely. How would that affect my chances? … I will chance back!!

Other than your SAT, you’re perfect. Don’t bother sending the Bio SAT 2, it’ll only hurt you. Really, REALLY work on your SATs. If you can get them to 2200, you’ll be in at almost anywhere.

Thank you EliKresses! I appreciate your comments; it sounds wise to not include Bio. I will be taking the SAT again in June and i feel more confident and prepared having my first SAT ever under my belt.

Alright, I just went through the whole college process so I’ll comment on the schools that i had experience with. Bit of background, I have very similar stats to yours (replace the drama with varsity sports and I got a 2050 on the SATs) without the disorder (Milk that in your essays :D)

UPenn: Definitly a reach as all Ivies are, however, one of my best friends on the low end of the stats category (2150, 3.7 GPA (UW) 4.1 (W), solid EC’s and essays) got accepted! He had just gotten rejected from Georgetown too so to say he was pumped is an understatement!

Johns Hopkins: Reach, Personal experience: I along with 6 other top 20 ranking students in my school got rejected here (including our validictorian) with one acceptence (our number 5, she was a track runner as well)

Dartmouth: Reach, once again IVY. All our top students that applied here got rejected; however, we are all from NH so that makes it a bit harder. But we did have 3 acceptances to Dartmouth last year. Ivies seem to really vary in acceptances and tbh it requires a certain amount of luck getting into the ivy just because of how qualified everyone that applies are.

UVA: This school was my top pick and I will be attending next fall! I would call it a match - high match for you OOS. Kill it on the essays and apply early admission and I think you have a good shot. (With an increase in the SATs)

The best advice I can give you is to GET THOSE SAT’s UP!! Study as hard as you can for those and do well (2200+) and you will have a decent - good shot at the Ivies. 2000+ For UVA OOS. Good luck!

Thank you so much Hacktacular - the background info you provided makes sense and will be useful in my decision making! I’ll be sure to milk the inspiration my condition has given me in my essays ;). Thanks!

Any others please? I will chance back, just send me the link :)

As an update to provide information for the members who have posted previously on this thread… I just got my SAT scores back from June and received a 2180 Composite, 780 M, 780 WR (74/11E), 620 CR. How have my chances changed for these schools, if at all?
Thanks so much!!
