So, my freshman year of high school I did horribly. I didn’t try and I got Bs and Cs. it’s really bringing down my GPA. My sophomore year I tried harder, but still got mostly Bs. Right now, my GPA is 3.5 unweighted (I heard NYU takes only unweighted GPAs. This year, I’m taking three AP classes and two PreAP classes and I strive for mostly As and as little Bs as possible. I’m doing pretty well so far, I only have one B, but do y’all think that I’m still eligible for admission into NYU? I’m just terrified that I won’t get in. I also hope on scoring above an 1850 on the SAT and a 29 on the ACT. Thank you!
It’s too early for us to tell you anything. What’s your current cumulative, unweighted GPA?
When are you taking the SAT?
Have you decided which SAT Subjects you’d take in May-June? (Which are you 2-3 strongest subjects?)
Have you talked to your parents about how much they can afford?
NYU is lousy for financial aid. Many who get in can’t afford to go.
