can i still get into riverside second ques-UCR or UOP

I was admitted to Riverside with a 3.0 GPA, but I got a 2.57 GPA senior year and a D in second semester physics. Will Riverside reject me or will they not care. I already had two in a half years of science and the requirement is 2 years. Will they put this grade into my GPA or not. Also, do you think Riverside calculates GPA from senior or do you think they just check to make sure the core classes have been passsed. My overall GPA dropped from a 3.0 to a 2.87.

Also, which school is better to go to?
UCR or UOP?

Terms of rank.... UOP is lower than UCR (though I never believed in 'rank'). Although UOP has a 6-year pharmacy program.

no D's or F's

It depends on your major. UCs are renowned for their science programs and because of Pacific's pre-pharms and pre-dents, their own science program is getting more competitive. All science majors at Pacific are at an advantage because the science program there is getting better because of its pre-pharm and pre-dent students. Its students under its accelerated programs are the university's "babies," which, I acknowledge, sounds pretty darn bad. But the truth is ugly sometimes

I go to Pacific as a 6-year pre-pharm. Next year is my sophomore year and yes, I'm only at Pacific for pharmacy. But if I were you, I'd stick with the UC; assuming that you're a science major, you'll have the flexibility to change your major as UCs have a range of majors with success stories to back it up. While Pacific offers other majors, its shining glory is mainly provided by its music major program, engineering Co-Op, and pharmacy and dentistry programs.

My two cents. I hope you'll be at peace with your final decision.

PS - Editing to add: either accelerated program is very competitive so yes, D's or F's will lower your chances of acceptance. But Pacific generally accepts C students. I'm also acknowledging that Pacific has pre-med and pre-law programs, but I don't know anything about those programs.

I was planning on applying to UOP for the pharmacy program as well. Should I do it online or by paper? Which is better? Also, am I supposed to specify which program I want (i.e. 5-yr or 6- yr) or do they give me my options when they send their decisions to us? Thank you so much for helping!
