Can I study abroad the spring semester before transferring to a UC and still TAG?

Alright, so I'm applying to one of the UCs via TAG next year for fall 2014 admission. It's going to be my third year at a CCC, and I will have completed my 60 units of transferrable credit (all at my CCC) by the end of the fall semester. I really want to study abroad for the subsequent spring semester, but will it make me ineligible for TAG since I won't technically be studying at a CCC anymore (the study abroad program isn't through my CCC)?

I'm primarily asking before for TAG transfers it says "Applicants must have completed 30 UC-transferable semester units (excluding AP/IB units) prior to TAG submission and
complete the last 30 of 60 or more UC-transferable semester units in residence at a California community college."

Thanks for any help.

This certainly sounds like a situation that is best answered directly from the school. The last thing you want to do with this unique situation is take the word of just anybody and possibly jeopardize your ability to TAG.
