Can I take 4 AP classes in sophomore year?

I’m planning on taking:

-AP World
-AP Stats
-AP US Government & Politics
-AP Environmental Science

I was wondering if anyone had any advice as to this and what I should expect. I’m currently a freshman and taking all honors classes, and can work hard to understand material.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

The other classes I’m taking are:
-Honors English II
-Honors Chemistry
-Honors Spanish IV
-Honors Critical Thinking (requirement for IB MYP sophomores)

What math class are you currently taking?

Don’t take AP stats instead of the next class in the Alg/Geo/Alg2/pre-calc/calc sequences
No need to take two sciences. Forget AP ES at this point.
Can you do AP World and AP Gov? How did you do in english and history last year?
DO you like reading/writing?

I would only take AP world and perhaps one from the three others. That’s already a very rigorous schedule with ‘only’ one AP. (As for colleges, they don’t expect any AP class sophomore year).

I’m taking Honors Math III this year and my school requires that we take AP Stats before precalc. All of our classes are yearling because of the IB schedule.

I am required to take stats next year because of school IB policy. I’m currently in Honors Math 3

It depends? Do you planning on having a life outside of academics?

yes…

You might think so now, but I would posit that it will be difficult with 4 APs and 4 Honors classes. Personally, I would eliminate AP Environmental Science, unless you have a burning desire to learn the material, and either AP World History or AP USG.

Since AP stats is your required math class, choose ONE from the other three APs
