Can I Transfer with a 2.6gpa?

I want to Transfer from a juco to Humboldt State University this Spring. I only have a 2.6gpa because of a bad semester where i had to work full time to cover my rent and it hurt my grades. i retook 3 of the 4 classes and got three A's and i am taking the fourth one this fall.

I want to transfer to Humboldt State's Environmental Engineering Program.

is it possible to get in with a 2.6gpa?

thanks for your help

[CSU Campus Impaction Information | Student Academic Support | CSU](http://www.calstate.edu/SAS/impaction-campus-info.shtml) says that Humboldt is “not campus impacted” for transfer admissions. [CSUMentor - Plan for College - Transfer Students - Upper-Division Grade Requirements](<a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU) says that a 2.0 GPA (2.4 GPA for non-California residents) with C or higher grades in communication, critical thinking, and math courses is otherwise necessary.

Contact Humboldt to find out if the major you are interested in has any additional requirements or GPA minimums.

bump bump bump

bodyshop22 - The best place to get this answer is to contact the school. Anyone on CC can tell you yes or no but it really doesn’t mean anything if the college says otherwise.

Our friends S transferred to Stanislaus this year (rising soph) and they were “not” taking transfers…but they did. So anything is possible.

i know but when i call the admissions office all they tell me is that a minimum 2.0gpa is required to transfer…i know that is the required gpa but what is the actual gpa that will get me in is what i want to know lol

im just nervous and looking for reassurance i guess lol

If the school is not impacted and you meet the minimums, as a transfer, you will basically automatically be accepted. The only exception is if your major is impacted.

thank you polarscribe…it doesnt say anything on their transfer info about my major being impacted so hopefully i am good
