Why not use the common app for everything for this school? Many schools will have a common app supplement, but I don't think there is any advantage in using the school's application form over the common app.

^ I initially thought that there is no advantage in using the school application form because it says so in every school's website,

but my counselor told me that using the school's application shows more interest and time spent on their school? and that it has an effect.. even the slightest..
i dont know if this is true.....

Well, colleges that participate in the common app program agree to hold both applications with the same weight, though of course you can't prevent the older generations on the admissions board who subconsciously hold their own application favorable to the common application.

I called a couple of schools to which my d was applying with their own app, and asked this very question. Bottom line - no one cared. The common app form is close enough to the school's form; they just care that they get the recommendation.

(BTW - my d is using the individual schools' applications because they sent her an e-mail with a link to a "streamlined" app. So she took them up on their invitation. But her GC and her teachers are still using the Common App form.)
