CAN MY GPA CHANGE TO A 3.9 OR ABOVE FROM A 3.7 BY SENIOR YEAR?

As of freshman year I have a 3.75 and I took 2 AP classes and 2 pre-ap classes and one cp and other electives, but is it possible for me to get a 3.9 or higher?

Weighted or unweighted? Are you good at Algebra?

Unweighted, the best that you could do is a 4.0 for three more years. You should be able to average the numbers 3.75, 4.0, 4.0, 4.0. Hint: It comes out to over 3.9. This calculation is approximate, but should be close enough.

Weighted, of course it is possible.

However: You really shouldn’t focus on GPA. Do the best that you can. Take classes that you like and are good at. Keep ahead of your work. Pay attention in class. Take part in ECs that you like and that you care about. Be a kid. Have some fun. When the time come look for universities (or colleges) that are a good fit for YOU, and that you or your parents can afford.

Maybe if you get some A+s it’s hopeful but I would concentrate on the present and work to improve what’s happening now.

How does your school give out grades matters too we learned that the hard way. Daughters school:

97-100 4.0
93-96 3.75
90-93 3.50
That is only if it is a AP class a normal class is:

100 4.0
99 3.9
98.3.8
97 3.7

Etc so when I read kids getting a 4.0 UW I always think HOW then I remember every school is different. Not a single 4.0 kid at my daughters school last year.
