Can somebody give me their opinion? What should I work on in order to better my chances of getting admitted to my dream school? Thank you!
That weighted GPA will go WAAAYYY down when it’s recalculated. I don’t think your chances are that great. You don’t have good standardized scores, EC’s don’t seem too great, and there doesn’t seem to be any leadership. It’s a medium reach.
With UF’s holistic admissions, it’s hard to forecast anything.
Your GPA is great and I’m assuming your class rigor is fine, don’t worry about these…
At this point you need to get that CR score up into the high 500, low 600’s. UF superscores the SAT, so focus on the CR portion, if the other sections score lower, UF will still count the higher scores from your previous test. Focus on that CR…
[quote[The middle 50 percent of students admitted to the 2014 fall freshman class had the following criteria:
•High School GPA of 4.1-4.5
•SAT 1810-2060
•ACT 27-31

With EC’s, it’s hard to tell what 5 clubs means…UF wants to see a (time) commitment to your ECs. A club that spent 1/2 hour a week on something really has little weight. Here is a few ways UF would recommend you list an EC:
Cross Country Team; Freshman year: May through November: average 12 hours a week (ran 6 days a week, including summer)
Editor School Paper: Junior/Senior years: 3 hours a week
Spanish Club: Grade 10-12; 1 hour a week, President Grade 12
…
Notice that UF wants you to list the hours you’ve committed to your EC. The CC team looks impressive due to the number of hours committed each week, but it was only done for 1 year. The Spanish club doesn’t require many hours, but the person did commit to the club for 3 years and got a leadership position. Anything with a multi-year commitment and hours looks good.
It’s not too late to continue to work on your EC’s this fall (and include that info in your application). Even a part time job looks good (lots our hours committed each week). Or commit more time to some of your clubs. Don’t forget that you can include outside (of school) activates. Did you work a part time job mowing lawns? Did you join a group/club at church?
Good Luck!
