Can someone give me feedback on my, why NYU essay?

I already submitted it, and my application is being reviewed so you can't steal it lol.

NYU is ranked as one of the top schools in the United States, it's not about what NYU can offer me, but what they CAN'T. I knew I wanted to go to NYU as soon I developed my passion for writing. At NYU i will be able to prosper exceptionally, and create a even better resume than I have now. NYU has connections that will help me create a name for myself in the world, it's more of an advantage because it is nestled in the heart of the city.If I were to be admitted to your school, I would take my academics very seriously because it is a second chance. It is a privilege, not a right to be accepted. It would be a sin to deprive myself of consideration at a school that can help me forge connections that will propel me to become the successful person I have been working so hard to be. It would be an honor to say I am successful because I graduated from this institution. I can offer NYU passion, determination and creativity. I have been writing since I was six, blogging since I was thirteen, and achieving my goals since I was sixteen. I was once chosen as a scholarship recipient for a Towson University writing workshop when I was fourteen, and I am currently now a Teen Media journalist at my local ABC 2, meaning I report stories that I write on their show Teen Perspective.I was the girl working on vectors on Photoshop, writing poems and reading photography books when I was twelve. I am independent, and all the opportunities I have gotten, I have got by being determined, and having a personality. I couldn't imagine anywhere else in the world, I rather be than at the NYU campus overlooking Washington Square Park.

You answer the question explicitly which is good
I like that you are referring to your impressive resume in the essay.
Good Luck…hope you get in

need more humility. It would a lot more powerful if you came off as humbling instead of bragging and prestige seeking.

This is not a good example of an essay to steal.

The first test of a “Why___” essay is: are the things u list about NYU are so generic that u could easily substitute the name of a dozen of other schools:
It is obvious that u did not do your homework and did not identify a single specific attribute about NYU that only it offers.

Additionally, the essay is entirely about what the school can do for you, and you spend quite a lot of space preoccupied with what an honor it would be… Also, the “Why___” essay should not just be a rehash of the details of what’s already in your list of ECs/awards. You need to articulate HOW your special “something” will contribute to the dynamics of the school community.
