Can someone help me with a dilemma?

I am currently a CC student that is about to apply in the fall. My current GPA is 3.48 and will be boosted up to a 3.51 after this summer. The issue is that I have 2 classes from another CC 5 years ago that will drop my GPA. I received a C in a 3 unit class and an A in a 1 unit class. The classes were taken before I had completed my GED. Can I successfully omit that information on my application? I wouldn’t mind including those grades in my application to CSULB, but my number one school that I want to get into is CalPoly SLO, which is a harder school to get into.

I appreciate any information that could help me.

  1. Yes, you have to send that old transcript. Period. All transcripts means all transcripts. No matter how old. No matter where in the world. No matter if they were taken before finishing your GED.

  2. If you are planning to graduate with a degree from your CC, and you didn’t submit an official copy of the old transcript when you enrolled, you need to do that now. Speak with the Registrar’s Office, and get everything sorted out.
