General Chemistry Class really depends on who your professor is. There is one professor in particular who challenges his students and the class is much harder than AP chemistry. On the other hand, some of the other professors are more lenient.

General Chemistry Lab is unanimously agreed to be a horrendous experience. The labs are long and have extensive write up. The orgo lab I have now is easier.

Calculus also depends on the professor. My Calc I professor was easy and the work was minimal. My Calc II professor made me work harder than I ever had before. My multivariable class right now seems to lie somewhere in the middle of the two extremes. Most calc classes move at a fast pace, so if you've never been exposed to the material before than it will be challenging. If you've already taken AP Calc, than the single variable calc classes will not be that hard.

Overall, expect a fair amount of work from calc and chem, especially chem lab. But it really depends a lot on how much knowledge you already have of the subjects.

thanks !
