Can transfer students start in summer?

Hey everyone, I've just got a quick question. I'm in a CC currently, and hoping to transfer to UIUC after finishing my associates. If do get accepted to UIUC, would I be able to start in the summer?

There are a couple of prerequisite classes available in the summer that I would need for the upper level courses I'd need to take. I'm majoring in physics, possibly double majoring in math. The courses in question would be PHYS 225- Relativity and Math Applications, and Math 347- Fundamentals of Mathematics.

If I was able to start them in the summer, it would put me in a much better place for setting my future schedules up.

Is it unusual for transfer students to start in the summer, or is it fairly common place?

Thanks in advance for any help. :)

I believe it would be possible but you should contact the admissions office and Physics Department to make sure and do that before you actually apply (e.g., they might suggest applying to start in summer).

Thanks for the tip! I’ve still got another year before transferring, But I’m starting to think ahead. I’m planning on getting in contact with someone there before applying, but that’s still a ways off. Just trying to put a few feelers out right now.

Thanks for the response. :)
