wat are the consequences?

dont do it b/c its the violation of the rules and both of those colleges can rescind your acceptance so you will be screwed and wont be able to go to college

it depends on the situation. i had two deposits in because i accepted to one school, then accepted to the second when i was accepted off the waitlist. needless to say, i had to contact the first school and tell them i was no longer enrolling there. didnt get my deposit back though (no suprise there)

If you're on a wait list - yes. If you're not on a wait list, don't do it - it's unethical. You may or may not get caught, but it's not worth trying.

yeah waitlists are totally different, but if you do it otherwise, your admission will be in jeopardy

yes, but even if you are on a wait list, you can only have one deposit in at one college. Then, if you are admitted from a wait list, you can deposit there, but you have to let the first college know you aren't coming. It's not fair to take another student's space if you know you aren't coming.
