Can we stereotype the dorms at UW?

I was talking to some friends who just finished a year at the local university around where I live and our conversation took kind of a funny turn. They started stereotyping all of the dorms around campus, saying that so and so was the prep dorm, so and so was the stoner dorm, artsy dorm, etc, etc.

Since the social aspect of college is pretty important to me and UW is my first choice school, it'd be pretty interesting to see what sort of labels current, past, or prospective students give to the dorms. I've been reading some dorm threads on here and all that's really been said is how quiet they are, whether or not they have a cafeteria, and how far away they are from campus.

Input? :)

My old college was the same way (party dorm, smelly/athletic dorm, international dorm, nerdy dorm, etc.), but I don’t know about UW’s dorms.

Ahh, now it makes me more curious to know!

I’m going to UW in the fall! From what I’ve gathered, Mcmahon is less social than Terry/Lander, which are considered the rowdy dorms. :)

I’ve heard that as well. And Hansee is for the studious type, of course
