Can you chance me for Wash U?

I am a female soon-to-be high school senior and I just visited Wash U. I liked it a lot, and have decided that it is my first choice, but I don't know if it's a good idea to apply ED because it's so hard to get into and my family has a connection at Georgetown. I would really appreciate your opinion! :)

WUSTL: Reach

WUSTL: reach

Er… I’m hesitant to call Wash U a reach for you because it seems like you’ve exhausted every opportunity to increase your course rigor as much as possible. Additionally, if you’re even part-Hispanic, it makes you a URM and colleges would be clawing over you to get you to come there.

Nevertheless, the fact that your GPA UW is a 3.5 means that, while you could definitely keep up with the rigor, had you increased it to, say, 5 APs in a year, you might not have been able to handle it. That’s what colleges talk about when they say they consider you “within the context of your high school”.

So, I’ll step away from the detractors…

WUSTL: LOW reach if and only if you apply ED… otherwise, it becomes a Reach

Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1549053-columbia-ed-will-chance-back-within-12-hours.html

Apply ED if you really like it. Your UW GPA is a little low, but if that still puts you in the top 10% of your class, you’ll be fine (but it’ll still be a low reach).
