can you get into gw but not the major you applied to?

I did media and its very competitive so idk if you can get in to the school without getting in to the school

Yes- you can be admitted to Columbian, but not admitted to SMPA.

the SMPA is the only school in which you can apply to, get rejected, yet still be admitted into the university but into another school, which i believe is the Columbian. But, if you apply to any other school than SMPA, a rejection is a rejection from the university

Is there anyway one can update application?

well once u submit an application, its final…soo no

^
Oh great… this is horrible.

Coolbrezze, why don’t you call the office and ask? My daughter changed her mind about her school right after she was accepted, and they were pretty helpful with her. It may not be too late to change majors, but you can also change when you are there. She ended up staying with her original school and double majoring.

Well I thought the only more difficult schools to get admitted into for GWU was the ones that required two essays. For GWU I applied to their Elliot school as undecided but now I’m seeing posters state that Elliot is more difficult ( not speaking of Elliot graduate school).

coolbreeze…do not apply to a school bc u think it is easier to get into…apply to the school u wanna go to…it would absolutely stupid to change ur app all of a sudden bc u thhink the elliott will be too hard to get intoo
