Can you get transfer credit for courses that are no longer taught?

Hi,

I'm a film transfer and i'm trying to see which of my credits transfer. I was browsing the catalogue of the school i'm trying to transfer to in order to see if there was any equivalences between my courses and i noticed two courses not listed in the catalog listed as courses that could be used as pre-reqs for some classes. I talked to a friend who goes there and he said those classes were taught last year but they've stopped teaching them (Apparently they've been re-tooled as two new courses). I was able to read descriptions of them, and they are equivalent to two of my classes! So, my question is, is it possible to get transfer credit if the equivalent classes aren't being taught anymore? Any help is appreciated

Yes it’s still valid coursework and it’s still possible to get credit. Schools will take a look at the descriptions and determine whether or not to give credit.
