Can you parents help me choose a school? Wellesley / Berkeley / Wesleyan / UCLA

Hi parents,
I am hoping for a bit of your informed insight into my situation.

I was accepted to several really neat schools as a poli sci major transfer student. I am on the fence between them because I think I would receive a great education at any of them.

My top two schools are currently Wellesley and Berkeley (and I found out today I was a regent chancellors scholar).

I want a smaller environment like Wellesley and I had ignored Berkeley as an option because of the trouble getting classes/housing/lack of prof engagement, but as a regents scholar, it seems like many of those issues would be negligible. I was also accepted to Wesleyan and UCLA, which are also both great schools that could also offer me a lot.

My ultimate goal is to get into a good law school, so my question is, given my options, what school is going to give me the best opportunities to get into a good law school?

Any advice at all would be much appreciated!

Any of those schools will get you into law school. Law school admissions will depend on GPA and LSAT score although they may not require the LSAT score by the time you are applying. Go to whichever school you like the best. Your happiness at the school will ultimately determine whether or not you can get a good GPA.

@bouders Thanks!

Both great choices. Law school is expensive - so you might want to make that a consideration. My brothers girlfriend graduated from Wellesley and I’ve been impressed with the network of friends she still maintains. She’s also smart, thoughtful and willing to put up with my very nerdy son.

Already replied in your other thread that low cost and high grade inflation are desirable for prelaw students.
