Canadian December SAT I

I don't know if this is the same - the essay was about the downfalls of techonology...

That's what I had in Germany, too.

How do you think you did? Which questions did you find difficult, and what did you put?

I actually think I did pretty awesome. I thought it was about 50x easier than the ones I took in May.

The only one I wasn't sure about was this one math question that had the two circles and then a square on top of them where you had to find the shaded area. But I ended up putting 32pi-16

same here in india .

CR had one difficult passage. The last grid in question for maths was queer.

the circle one was 24 pi i am sure.

I put 24pi also.

what bout the parabola one?that was a scratch brain one . i ended up putting zero. dont ask why .

What was the parabola question? I'm brain dead now and my memory's gone.

For the y coordinate? I also put 0, there was no way in determining the x value.

thats a worry then .Heather,no idea how the equation looked .it was an equation with x and n and a product. what about that A,B,C set one ? the grid-in..

Ahh y-coordinate. It was -4. I plugged in some numbers into my calculator and it always came out to be -4

The A,B,C one I put 3/11. I think that's the only time I can ever say that that AP Stats class I'm taking has been useful. Though I'm still not entirely sure I got that answer right.

CALCULATOR!!!!

Damn it !! I forgot to use it !!

A,B,C one has jelled me and I did hear something like 2/11 or 3/11. So I am guessing u got that right

I put 1/3 for the ABC one...

does anyone remember the exact wording?

I'm sure it was a trick question .

It was something along the lines of:
Set B had twice as many words as Set A. Set B and Set A contain none of the same words. Set C has 1/3 of Set A's words and 1/4 of Set B's. What is the fraction of Set C is made up of Set A words?

i think it mite be 1/3 .

B doesnt contribute any A words . So the equation of C points to 1/3.

Heather, can you explain your method ?

omg in the last sec?? that one drove me insane. oh well.

1/3 seems wrong, I forgot it was given in the question. ahahaha

Oh man. All of the questions you guys are discussing were on the June SAT (and not in the exp. section).
