Canadian student currently enrolled in the IB program

hey guys

Yes, this is the king of all threads lol. This is probably going to be my last thread in a while and i would love some good feedback.

Anyways, my name is Shad Faraz and i am a Canadian student currently enrolled in the IB program. I am going to grade 11 and am starting to look at possible colleges to apply to. I want to go into Pre-Med but am not sure what to major in.

Just to get some things out of the way...
-I am a South Asian Male who came to Canada when i was 13( I am 16 now) and knew little English. I have come a long way from there. Maybe i can use that to my advantage.
-I do not need any financial aid for any school I get into.
-I have had pretty good grades so far in Pre-IB with straight As in the last two years.

SAT:
Math:760
Writing:720
Critical Reading:650
Total:2130(I still have a year to study and get it up to 2250)

Volunteer/Summer Activities:
By the time i am done i will have about 450 hours.
-Bridgepoint Hospital
-Canadian Cancer Society
-Youth Assisting Youth
-Canadian Red Cross
-Senior's Care for North Toronto
-Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Extra Curricular: (I am not gonna lie.. my ECs need some work)
-Junior Soccer Team(city runner-ups)
-Empowered Student Partnership(9,10)
-Tech Crew(9,10)
-Class Rep(10)
-Asian Club(9,10)
-Passionate Squash, Ping Pong and Cricket player(past 6 years)

The reason(not an excuse) my ECs are this weak is that when i first came to Canada 3 years ago, i was clueless and didn't know that ECs were important because they are not in my country.

I have bunch of awards but nothing significant enough to brag about.

So yea, based on my current stats and my potential for improvement, could you please suggest some REACHES, MATCHES and SAFETY schools i could potentially apply for. Thanks guys!

bump. any help is appreciated

at the risk of sounding rude, you can really find your own colleges without help from other people.

Test Prep: GMAT, GRE, LSAT, MCAT, SAT, ACT, and More | The Princeton Review

thx gs and MidwestParent but the thing is.. i have some colleges in mind and i have done considerable reseach on my own. But it is always good to get some opinions from real people who have real experiences with the whole process. Trust me, i have done a lot of research on my own so far. This is just another part of my research. Anyway, thx for the suggestions.

Look for the 7-year medical programs (like Brown has) where you get accepted to Med School right away. Harder to get in but then you don't have to worry about applying to Med School.

You need to give us more information. Do you want a large school? A small one? A research-based university? A smaller, more undergrad based liberal arts school? Do you want to be in the middle of a city? Out in the middle of nowhere? Somewhere inbetween? Do you want the social life to revolve around sports? Do you want big emphasis on Greek life? What sort of weather do you want?

When you pick a college, you're also picking a place to live for the next 4 years. There are plenty of good schools in the US; there comes a point where you need to stop focusing on academics and focus on other factors, like social life and climate.

i would definately prefer a larger school as opposed to a small one but that does not mean ill rule out a small school. weather is not a problem. i live in toronto and i get the extremes of weather possible.
