I heard canadians are not needblind at cornell, dartmouth and penn.
I thought Canadians=Mexicans=americans at those schools.
plz, someone back me up :(

I have read your threads on several different forums about same topic.

I think you are just so curious or can not believe they actually pratice this "need-blind" admission, I strongly suggest to contact(call, email, letter) the admission officers for more detail(even thought international calls would cost $$).

Cornell is need blind for Canadians and Mexicans. I'm sure.

Que: Which one is better for Electrical Engineering UToronoto or UWaterloo??
and how to US universities compare to these two??

I'm pretty sure that Penn is need-blind to Canadian students - check their website to make sure.

hello - both schools have very strong engineering programs but it is my impression that UToronto is the better of the two. Anyone else?

I heard
UWaterloo : Better program overall
UToronto : Better reputation around the world

i second that hello, but then again, any thing to do with tech is much better to be done at waterloo, waterloo has the highest reputation in canada for computer sciences and other tech courses

I think you're right. I know that the top science guy at my school is applying to UWaterloo for engineering.

if i put 20k (contribution to tuition from family and myself) on my css profile what's going to happen? while i get rejected by cornell, dartmouth and penn???? even though i am a citizen of mexico/canada and supposedly i should have need-blind admission????????
and if i put 20k, does that mean if i get accepted, they'll give me the rest of the tuition??????
should i put more for the family contribution part??????
plz help

hmm 20000 is probably good. I am sorry if said the opposite before. Though it is need blind as you think to candadians, somehow i think its a factor when they take admission decisions( the fact that you are candian). Its because i know a person frm canada who got rejected by almost all the ivies with amazing sat ( 1510;s blah blah blah ) and ECs and didnt want that much financial aid. But dude you have already applied, how is it goign to matter? Apply and hope for the best ! I am an indian applyign for one of 15 international seats in Cornell!!!
