Can't break 1900

I was only able to get into the low 2000's once (2020) but most of the time, it's usually around 1900~1970.

My scores usually float around:
Math: 670~720
Writing: 630~730 (with 10-12 essays)
Reading: 600~640

Highest- 2020:
640 CR
670 Math
710 Writing with 12 essay

Any tips? I really want to score 2150+ consistently by the end of the school year. :/

Overall:

 1. Take practice tests until you’re sick. If you can’t dish out the time for full tests, at least do a section or two every once in a while.
 2. Read silverturtle’s guide

Math:

 1. You’re not getting that many wrong–just look for patterns. Do you get algebra, geometry, probability, or something else wrong? Make sure you know that area really well.
2. If you can’t isolate one area, just make sure you’re checking your work and reading the question and answers fully. I find SAT math is easy but tricky, so just be sure you’re paying attention.

CR:

 1. Read a lot. Read books you enjoy, read every word, and think about them. You don’t have to read classics with really hard language (of course, if you enjoy those, go right ahead), but just read.
 2. Make sure you’re reading all the answers and choosing the best one. They try to mess you up by putting in true answers that just aren’t the best answers. Go back to the passage–all the answers are somewhere in there.

Writing:

 1. Writing is easier than you think. There aren’t that many things to remember–most are covered by subject-verb agreement, noun-pronoun agreement, idioms, parallelism, and adverb vs. adjectives. Idioms are probably the hardest to recognize, so when you get to a question you’re unsure about, slow down and say it to yourself in your head to see how it sounds.

I was stuck in the same position, not able to get past 2000. I was really frustrated and talked to my friend. He told me about a class that really helped him. I couldn’t afford it but he told me that his teacher had books. The testprofessors series, all by his teacher, really helped me and I ended up with a 2290.

Practice, practice, practice. That’s how I went from 2000 to 2260.
