<p>Certainly will look impressive on a transcript - not.</p>
<p>What’s the big deal? Maybe it’ll be kind of a fluffy course. Or, for all I know, maybe it won’t be.</p>
<p>The trilogy was a powerful cultural force for a summer. Although I think the books will ultimately pass into oblivion, it might be possible to say something salient about America and Americans from our reactions to it.</p>
<p>And even if it’s not, how is this different from “American Musical Theatre” or “Heroes for Zeroes” or any other course I took in college that was kind of easy and kind of fun, but didn’t shape my life or my career?</p>
