Can't Waitlist Math 54?

Anyone know what's up with that for both lectures? There are people on the waitlist, but I don't get the option to join it. And yes, I am spamming the boards >.< Sorry and thanks!

all I can say is “Good luck.”

wonderful -_____- anyone else have this problem?

I had the same problem. The lecture is open but all the discussions are full. So it allows you to join the lecture but then you hit a road block for the discussions.

In Tele-Bears, go to Fall 2012 tab, select “Add to Wait List” under Enrollment on the left side of the page. I believe I added the lecture and it allowed me to wait list the discussion. I’m actually enrolled now.

Thanks! I tried that but it seems the waitlist is full now too  I’ll just hope for someone to drop I guess!

So if the waitlist is full, we cannot add the class and join the waitlist?

yuuuup. <3 telebears

same :frowning: does anyone know if they’re going to open up more sections?

I called in and they said to just keep hoping someone drops and that they would prob open more sections for lec 1

It seems like lecture 1 is opening up new discussion sections. However, lecture 2 is stagnant. The best course of action would be to call the math department continuously so that they know that there is a demand for more discussion sections. This is especially important for those people who want to get into lecture 2, since it appears as though lecture 2 hasn’t taken any initiative to get people off of the waitlist and into the class. It might even be good to e-mail the professor. If enough people do it, then he might consider urging the math department to speed things up.

Please don’t e-mail professors, especially math professors. Professors don’t care about waitlist or enrollment issues, especially math professors. They don’t look at it, they don’t see it, they don’t care about it. They always say direct all enrollment issues @ the math department; so stuffing their boxes with enrollment issues is just going to anger them.
