So, my roommates and I are trying to seek out possible rooms for next year.

We currently live in a De Neve, triple, which is feasibly enough for us to live with. However, we hear that Canyon Point has slightly larger rooms.

Can anyone confirm this? And is the difference that noticeable?
(Oh, and if anyone has pictures of Canyon Point rooms, that would be awesome too.)

Is there any other reason why one would choose Canyon Point over De Neve?

not all canyon point rooms have shared bath; there's quite a few with private.
with de neve/canyon point equal in that respect, i'm also wondering at the benefits of cp over de neve (where i am now).
all i know is de neve is newer...

isn't canyon point almost equally close to campus for north campus classes? because i walk from bunche to de neve using the northern perimeter, not bruinwalk, and from that perspective canyon point seems quite a bit closer.
but if you're not a NC major, i guess that wouldn't help you much xD
though it's always nice to be closer to food ;)

(wait, not that kinda feel, but you know, i emphasize with you.)

being a psychobio major and living in hitch should be made mutually exclusive. not only do i have to walk up the long arse rieber-puzzles stairs, and the hedrick stairs, but i also have to walk up the two flights of stairs to my third floor of hitch. then the ackerman-cooperage stairs to MS.

oh yea. to me, de neve does have narrower rooms than cp. the canyon point rooms ive been to are more squarish, and furnishings are comparable to the rieber plaza rooms. CP study lounges do have more windows compared to de neve C-F lounges (except for the full-windowed de neve A and B towers)

psychobio huh... i'm thinking of changing to the linguistics and psych major. but despite the addition of linguistics, i'd STILL be taking south campus classes... yargh -.-

and that's a LOT of stairs o.O
(not that i'm saying anything you don't know already xD)

hmm i seem to be fond of making faces after every sentence tonight ^_^

Don't look too much into it. It was more like a sudden afterthought after I typed that, like "hmm, dont wanna make that ambiguous"

Hey, I'm a guy. xP

Linguistics? I thought that was the realm of Royce (or was it Rolfe?). Well, if it's from the dorms to North Campus, using the Anderson shortcut works wonders. You walk down the Covel stairs and go into Anderson, but then you take the elevator to the 3rd floor. Beats the Hill anyday.

And yes, I know there's the Drake Stadium elevator that you can take to bypass the Hill from Bruin Walk, but that one takes forever to activate, if it even is working.

yah, and i was thinking that the actual language classes i have to take (french, etc) are north campus as well.
yet i'd still be taking psych 85, program in computing 10A, and various psych classes which are either north or south campus.
so... either way i'm still all over the place. yargh.
