***Carnegie Mellon ED Discussion Thread***

So do decisions go online on the 15th? If so, what time? Oh and does anyone know what an accepted envelope looks like? I know when I see it I’ll rip it open and find out immediately, but I’d just like the comfort of seeing something big in the mail and knowing. Or not being devastated when I get a small letter that actually has my acceptance in it. (hopefully…)

So much anticipation! I applied ed I to the school of art  I really really hope I get in. Best of Luck to everyone!

Add me to the list! ED to SCS. I’d love to go but I have prepared myself for whatever decisions any of the colleges I’ve applied to give me. But seriously, I would love to go to Carnegie Mellon.

I think the decisions will be posted on the 15th around 5 P.M. EST.

Applied SCS ED 1… Good luck to you all…

Did anyone apply ED to the College of Science?

Make sure you bookmark the CMU Admission Twitter page: http://twitter.com/CM_Admission

They’ve already discussed twice how results will be posted online the 15th. Good luck to everyone!

I applied ED to IS. So nervous! Good luck to everyone on here! I’d love if we all made it in!

Seriously the anxiety is killing me. Especially after reading last year’s ED Thread.

Now with decisions from other colleges coming out… and seeing some of my friends get rejected… now I feel the pressure.

but everyone, don’t worry.
because there is no need to.

Does anyone know what time the results are released on the 15th

bobcom, I doubt they’ll all go up at once, it probably depends on the person o:
collegehopefully, what school did you apply to?

Did any one applied to DC??? If so, what program??

i applied to DC ed1.
Very nervous!
Essays are important as they determine their final processes of the admission.
What are your hooks?

I believe the decisions will be posted up on “Where Am I In the Process” website.
If mailed, I don’t believe that there will be a huge size differences between the accepted and the deferred or denied.
If accepted, colleges tend to send additional information later.

Anyways, I really hope that we all get in!!!
For me, it’ll be a dream come true.

So some people have already gotten their decisions in the mail…
http://avatareverlark.■■■■■■■■■■/post/37809013991/so-this-came-in-the-mail-today-and-i-have-been

So it seems like acceptance letters begin with “Congratulations” and rejection/deferrals begin with “thank you.” That’s good to know.

I can’t access Tumblr here at work. Someone tell me please, is there a size difference in envelopes for accepted vs rejected?

ugadog99 My DS did not apply ED so I have no idea firsthand. However, the acceptance letter posted on tumbler definitely has fold marks as if it had been in a normal size envelope. Unfortunately, I can not tell if it had been folded in thirds and placed with bigger items, but I would think if it came in an 8.5 x 11, they wouldn’t fold it.

The letter dated Dec 11 and posted in Tumblr 12 hours ago. Mail takes at least a day to reach. I can not believe it.

Add me to list for SCS (ED1)
