Carnegie Mellon Essay for Single Major

Hello!

I'm filling out the Common Application for Carnegie Mellon and it forces me to pick three different Colleges even though I'm only interested in the School of Computer Science. I just picked three different things that were in the realm, "EE & Computer Engineering" and "Physics". The essay prompt states the following:

"For freshmen applying to more than one college or program, please mention each college or program to which you are applying."

I have nothing to write about EE or Physics since I am applying for a CS major. Is it okay if I only talk about the School of Computer Science in my essay?

Thanks!

If you are truly only interested in the School of Computer Science then you can select the “No additional preference” option and get out of having to write about EE and Physics. However, if you still decide to apply to these programs then I think it would be best to address them.

Didn’t even see that option, thank you so much!
